Cassava Technologies pledges to invest $250 million into SA economy
Cassava Technologies, a multinational technology group with operations in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, USA, and Latin America, has pledged a total investment of R4.5 billion (around $250 million) in South Africa through its business units, Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Africa Data Centres, and Distributed Power Africa. The investment will bring internationally recognized services and products to South Africa through the group's renewable energy, cloud & cyber security, data centres, and broadband connectivity business units. The investment comprises key projects, including expanding the Liquid Intelligent Technologies fiber network, extending Africa Data Centres' capacity and footprint, enhancing cloud and cyber security capacity, and rolling out clean, renewable energy by Distributed Power Africa in South Africa. The company's investment pledge aims to position South Africa as an attractive investment destination and enable greater inclusion of all South Africans consistent with Cassava's vision of a digitally connected future that leaves no African behind.
