Eden Care becomes first Rwandan company to join Y Combinator 🚀🇷🇼
Y Combinator has chosen Eden Care, a Rwandan health-focused insurtech company, for its summer batch, marking the accelerator's first investment in Rwanda. Eden Care utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide affordable health insurance solutions. As the only African company listed in the YC directory for the summer batch, Eden Care aims to revolutionize health insurance in Africa with the support of Y Combinator. Y Combinator will provide funding of $500,000 divided into two parts: $125,000 on a post-money safe and $375,000 on an uncapped safe with a most favored nation (MFN) provision. This year, Y Combinator has invested in only six African startups through its accelerator program, the lowest number since 2018.
