Ghana’s Chestify AI is boosting radiology with artificial intelligence algorithms
Chestify AI Labs aims to improve access to radiology services in Africa and the Caribbean through its AI solution. The AI can detect the location of lesions and provide an abnormality score and case report. Chestify is in the process of implementing its solution in four African countries and two Caribbean countries and plans to complete the process by the end of 2023. Chestify AI was recently selected for the ASIP accelerator program and plans to release its second product, a B2C mobile platform, in the second quarter of 2024. The startup has faced resistance from medical authorities and professionals but emphasizes that it is not seeking to disrupt the market, but instead aims to collaborate with medical professionals to support its efforts.
