Google has launched its “AI First” accelerator program in Africa to provide AI expertise, Cloud Platform resources, and networking opportunities to early and growth-stage startups on the continent. The 10-week equity-free accelerator program is focused on Africa-centered solutions with AI and machine learning and it is open to startups in Algeria, Botswana, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.

Google has introduced its "AI First" accelerator program in Africa, aiming to provide startups across the continent with access to Google's AI expertise, Cloud Platform resources, and networking opportunities. The 10-week accelerator is specifically focused on AI and machine learning solutions centered around Africa. It's open to startups from various African countries and is designed for those in the seed to Series A phase. The program is set to run from September to November, with applications accepted until September 6, 2023. Selected startups will have the chance to receive up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits. This initiative reflects Google's commitment to supporting startups in Africa's evolving tech ecosystem and fostering growth in AI innovation.
