How Mali’s Sodishop is scaling its online marketplace across West Africa
Sodishop is an African marketplace that offers customers the ability to purchase goods across numerous categories and have them delivered within 24 hours in urban areas and 72 hours in rural areas. Through Sodishop Express, customers can order products from Europe, Asia, and America within seven days. The platform also offers fresh food products through Sodifood. With over 1,000 sellers, Sodishop allows individuals to create and manage their online stores with ease. The startup is self-funded and monetizes through commissions and delivery charges. Sodishop aims to expand across French-speaking West African countries by 2025 and in mature economies such as Nigeria, Kenya, Morocco, and South Africa by 2030.
