Kenyan agritech startup, iProcure expands into Tanzania
iProcure, a Kenyan agritech startup, has announced its expansion into Tanzania through a partnership with the Farm to Market Alliance (FtMA), which aims to increase income and strengthen the resilience of smallholders while simultaneously increasing commercial viability for all value chain stakeholders. The partnership will improve access to supplies and services for over 125,000 farmers in Tanzania by deploying iProcure's supply-chain tracking technology and business management software solutions to 100 Tanzanian agro-dealers to enhance their operational efficiency and supply traceability. iProcure has also started expanding to Uganda by installing the Point of Sale platform at the agro-dealers within the country. The startup has used its proprietary distribution technology system to cut out the multiple levels of middlemen in traditional agricultural supply chains and provide technology-driven insights on supply levels and price, ensuring the availability, quality, and delivery of critical agricultural inputs like fertilizers and seeds while delivering savings.
