Victory Farms, a Kenya-based aquaculture startup, has raised $35 million in a Series B round. The startup says it will use the funding to finance the expansion of its operations in Kenya and Rwanda and potential entry into Ethiopia, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Kenyan aquaculture startup Victory Farms has raised $35m in a series B funding round led by Creadev, which will be used to expand its operations in Kenya and Rwanda and potentially move into Tanzania, Uganda, and Ethiopia. Victory Farms, which operates over 80 branches in East Africa and claims to mitigate the climate change problem, runs a tilapia fish farm and recently launched in Rwanda with Kivu Choice. It will also launch an aqua-feed mill joint venture, Samakgro, in Naivasha, which will enable local procurement of 35,000 metric tons of feed ingredients annually.
