Applications have opened for the African Food Fellowship, which is building a radical movement of leaders in Africa working to transform food systems across the continent.

The African Food Fellowship, launched by Wageningen University and Research and Wasafiri Consulting with support from the IKEA Foundation, is now accepting applications for its 2023 cohort of Fellows from Rwanda and Kenya. The Fellowship supports food systems practitioners by providing them with training, platforms, and networks to collaborate and transform food systems across the African continent. The initiative aims to recruit 80 Fellows from the two countries, with 40 Fellows from each country. In Rwanda, the Fellowship is targeting applicants working in Access to Nutritious Foods, Sustainable Land Use, or Food Technology & Trade, while in Kenya, it is accepting applications from people working in Horticulture, Aquaculture, and Agri-finance. The application process will remain open until May 15.
