Liquid Intelligent Technologies expands into Egypt
Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a subsidiary of Cassava Technologies, has acquired Cysiv MEA, a Cairo-based cloud and cybersecurity provider that specializes in enterprise cloud and cybersecurity services for leading companies in Egypt's financial services and telecom sectors. The acquisition will enable Liquid to rebrand Cysiv MEA as Liquid C2 to align it with its global cloud and cybersecurity identity. Liquid plans to expand Liquid C2 by using local tech talent to make Egypt a key hub for the MENA region. The acquisition will help Liquid protect its customers from cybercriminals and nation-state-sponsored attackers. The acquisition comes as Liquid recently announced a collaboration with Microsoft to provide internet access to 20 million underserved people in Africa by the end of 2025 and a partnership with Nokia to deploy Nokia's transport network on the new terrestrial fibre route connecting Mombasa, Kenya, to Johannesburg, South Africa.
