Nigerian edtech startup AltSchool Africa, often likened to the US coding bootcamp BloomTech, is set to receive strategic support from Intellecap, backed by Rwanda's $30 million tech fund. This assistance, fully funded by the Rwandan Innovation Fund, follows AltSchool's $3 million funding round in April 2023, where Angaza Capital, a VC firm tied to the Rwandan Innovation Fund, participated. The fund, established in 2021, aims to position Rwanda as a tech hub in Africa and supports AltSchool's plans for expansion and growth, aligning with the government's efforts to bolster the country's tech ecosystem.
