Nigeria’s Haul247 raises funding to scale its logistics platform
Nigerian logistics platform Haul247 has raised $3 million in a seed round led by Alitheia Capital's Umunthu Fund in partnership with Goodwell, with additional debt financing from Investment One. Haul247 connects businesses to haulage and warehousing assets, allowing them to book trucks and warehouses across multiple African locations. The platform currently has over 1,000 trucks and 151,000 square meters of warehouse space. Haul247's proprietary software facilitates efficient fulfillment by matching order requests with suitable trucks and warehouses. The company plans to introduce an electronic proof of delivery feature and aims to capture a 20% market share, expand into more African countries, and increase its multinationals on the platform to 50. The investment aligns with the significance of logistics for the success of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), as experts predict increased demand for intra-African freight. The funds will enable Haul247 to provide seamless logistics solutions and unlock value across the continent's value chain.
