South African-founded fintech Peach Payments has secured $31 million Series A funding from equity fund manager Apis Growth Fund II.
South African-founded fintech Peach Payments has raised $31 million in Series A funding from Apis Growth Fund II, which is managed by UK-based asset manager Apis Partners LLP. If approved by the Competition Commission, the deal would add Apis Growth Fund II to Peach Payments' existing shareholders, which include UW Ventures, Launch Africa, and AG Ventures. Peach Payments, founded in Cape Town in 2012, expanded to Kenya in 2018 and Mauritius in 2021, offering a payment gateway to online merchants. The company will use the investment to expand across new African markets and deepen its product offering, according to Rahul Jain, co-founder and CEO of Peach Payments.
