South African e-health startup Zoie Health has secured additional funding in a pre-seed extension round to support its expansion plans. The startup focuses on providing a holistic digital wellness platform for women, offering virtual consultations, at-home consults, medication subscriptions, resources, and a community for women to support each other in healthcare matters. Zoie Health currently serves over 5,000 members with a high subscriber retention rate and has onboarded 50 health practitioners. The funding from 4DX Ventures and E Squared Investments will be used to expand the product offering and enter new African markets, including countries in the SADC region, Kenya, and Nigeria. The startup aims to address the accessibility and affordability challenges faced by working-class women in accessing quality healthcare services by leveraging digital innovation.
