Satgana, a Europe-based climate-tech venture capital firm, has appointed Anil Maguru as its newest partner. Maguru, who was previously an investment director at the firm, will be supporting climate-tech startups in Europe and Africa. Satgana, which focuses on investing in startups addressing climate change, is planning to launch two larger funds for Africa and Europe as it expands its investment efforts in these regions. The firm aims to allocate up to 40% of its current fund to "planet-positive" startups in Africa. Maguru, at 28 years old, becomes one of the youngest VC partners in Europe and is among the fewer than 10% of black fund managers worldwide.
