Envisionit Deep AI is now on the path to growth backed by a $1.65 million investment from New GX Ventures SA, a joint venture between New GX Capital, RMB Ventures and GIIG Africa. This was after the startup emerged the Southern Africa regional winner at the African Startup Awards.
Envisionit Deep AI, a South African healthtech start-up that uses AI to bridge the gap in diagnostic imaging, has received a $1.65m investment from New GX Ventures. The investment was awarded after the start-up emerged as the Southern Africa regional winner at the African Startup Awards. The firm uses the Radify AI platform, which has been approved by South African regulatory authorities, to deliver speedy, accurate, quality and affordable medical imaging diagnosis, especially to rural and peri-urban regions where human resource investments and infrastructure remain dismal. The firm has ambitions to scale its platform beyond South Africa, subject to approval from the FDA and European Medical Agency.
