Telecom Egypt reported a net profit of EGP 6.7 billion ($217 million) in the first half of this year. The company’s total revenues grew to EGP 28.1 billion ($909 million), a 38% growth compared to the same period of the previous year.

The company's total revenues grew by 38% to EGP 28.1 billion ($909 million) compared to the same period in the previous year. The growth was driven by a 75% increase in wholesale revenue and strong retail performance. Telecom Egypt expanded its customer base across various segments, with a 7% growth in mobile customers, 5% growth in fixed voice subscribers, and 8% growth in fixed-broadband internet customers. The company's EBITDA for H1 reached EGP 11.96 billion ($387 million), with a margin of 42.5%. Telecom Egypt aims to become a regional data hub and enhance its customer-centric strategy while expanding its mobile business. The company owns 45% of Vodafone Egypt and has been working on maximizing its infrastructure and shareholder returns.
