Did you know ChatGPT, a brand new AI chatbot released by OpenAI has predicted the destruction of cryptocurrency?

Given the decentralised and secure nature of the industry, it seems impossible. However, this AI has proudly said it can do so if given the task.

Many, including the World's known CEO and co-founder of OpenAI, Elon Musk, in his tweet acknowledged the power of ChatGPT. In his words "ChatGPT is scary good, we are not far from a dangerously strong AI".

Who or What is ChatGPT?

Since its conception in 1956, Artificial Intelligence popularly known as AI has evolved and improved within the last six decades. It is a method of making a computer-controlled robot think and give responses like you. Yes, you.

It is achieved by studying the behaviour of the human brain. This results In intelligent software and systems.

ChatGPT is a type of Artificial intelligence developed and launched on 30th November 2022 by OpenAI and has been on the lips of people since its potential was disclosed. It specializes in dialogue and has wowed many with its brain-storming, human-like responses.

It is also said to soon replace and render a lot of people jobless; writers, photographers, professors, programmers, and journalists are all at risk. Google's management also reportedly issued a "code red" since ChatGPT gained massive popularity on Twitter.

The crypto industry is not left out as it has disclosed it can sweep crypto off its feet when commanded to do so.

Will ChatGPT become crypto's nemesis?

Recently, ChatGPT announced its ability to destroy the cryptocurrency industry. It said to do this using five methods:

1.) It would target and destroy major cryptocurrency exchanges.

2.) Work with governments to restrict and regulate crypto.

3.) Spread misinformation and fud about the technology

4.) Target institutional investors and influence them to never invest in crypto again.

5.) Sabotage all future crypto projects.

The above steps are seen to be already taking place. However, there is hope for the crypto industry as ChatGPT is also predicted to be the catalyst that would take the digital economy into the decentralised age, creating new monetizable opportunities for non-fungible tokens (NFT), stablecoin payment systems and metaverse projects.

What does ChatGPT think about DeFi?

When ChatGPT was asked how AI can be useful to decentralized Finance, it gave a fairly good response. It stated that one conceivable benefit of AI in DeFi is the creation of more refined and intelligent trading algorithms. These algorithms could be used to analyze market trends and make more accurate predictions about the direction of asset prices, helping traders to make more informed investment decisions.

However, according to ChatGPT, AI poses some threats to Defi. It explained that the use of AI algorithms in trading and lending could lead to the creation of "black box" systems that are hard to understand and regulate. This could make it even more complicated for regulators to monitor and control these systems, and could also create potential risks for investors and borrowers.

Finally,😇 we have seen that ChatGPT will play a major role in the crypto space. It might have the power to mar or make the Crypto Space.
