Are third world countries ready for a cashless society?

Technology has truly improved humanity since its existence but an aspect of it that humanity is not ready for causes more harm than good. Let's travel to Nigeria, in February 2022 the central bank passed a certain rule that will help eliminate the flow of cash and promote cashless society. This plan was rejected by her citizens, banks were closed down, it resulted in unrest in the country, and of course destruction of lives and properties followed. It's very important to note that ignorance is a major hindrance to whatever you want to do. In some rural communities they can't even use the ATM machine, to even do a mobile transfer in the so-called urban areas is a big deal, as there might be an unstable network. Imagine having these issues and you want to switch to a fully cashless society in a place where people are yet to fully understand the traditional way of doing things, it will yield disaster. For this cashless society to be effective, there should be proper education of the public, and also we should be able to trust the system in the sense that it is transparent, can be held accountable and there should be zero or very minimal network glitches. Without the aforementioned, this will not be possible, even though the government might want to force it on people but it won't really be effective. A cashless society definitely has both positive and negative effects on people. But for now, I guess we are not ready.

Stress seems to be old school, nobody wants to experience any single atom of stress, in order to keep up with this evolution as a business owner, your customers must have zero or minimal stress. Despite the regulations against cryptocurrency in most countries, a lot of people still have cryptocurrency stacked up in their wallets. Also, in a time like this where a lot of countries are seriously pushing for a cashless society, if your business accepts cryptocurrency for payment, you are good to go. The online salesman

Absolutely, anything can be sold online. The beautiful thing about an online store is that you don't necessarily need to have the goods or services a customer requires at a particular time. The customers can place their order and you give them the days it will take for them to get their orders. Some online stores delivers customers orders within a period of seven days. Can we sell perishable goods? This is a question that might be in the heart of someone planning to have an online store. All you need is to have access to where you can always get this perishables for your customers, you just have to take pictures of that particular product together with it's various prices, then upload on your online store or on social media platforms. Remember to integrate a good payment system to ease out the stress for your customers. If we can sell perishables, there's nothing that we can not sell on our online store. Have an online store and watch your business expand to different parts of the world.

Making payment with ease

Customers making a payment with ease is one of the aims of any brand that incorporates e-commerce into its system. In the World of e-commerce its important you note this, if you know them already, it could serve as a reminder. B2C (Business to consumer): Business sells to individuals who are the consumers. B2B (Business to Business): Business sells to other businesses, which sells to the final consumers. C2B (Consumer to Business): consumers sells to business. C2C (Consumer to Consumer): consumers sells to consumers. Online market place like eBay, Ali Express, Amazon connects consumers to consumers. B2G (Business to government): Here, business sells to government agencies. C2G (Consumer to Government): Consumers sell to government agencies. G2B (Government to Business): This is where the government agencies sell to businesses. G2C (Government to Consumers): Government agencies sell to consumers. All the models above have challenges when transactions are initiated. Starting from the gateways to process payments, network issues in third-world countries, processing International payments, etc. Also, with the blockchain payment gateways, you don’t have issues processing international transactions, there won’t be need to insert any confidential certificate to process your transactions, and also, transactions are validated within seconds since you are making use of crypto currency which is built on the blockchain. Lastly, there won’t be issues like card got declined. All you need to do is to connect your wallet and initiate your payment. Please also have a special wallet that will be for your e-commerce activities to avoid being drained through phishing links.

The blockchain effect on e-commerce

Blockchain indeed has lots of real-life applications, but I will narrow it down to e-commerce. Commerce is the buying and selling of goods and services, and E-commerce is simply the buying and selling of these goods and services on the internet. People are already using products or services they purchased from the internet, don't be left behind. Buying and selling can not be effective without payment for goods and services and this is where the need for a "payment gateway" comes in. A payment gateway is a network through which your customers transfer funds to you. Example of these gateways are Stripe, PayPal, Braintree, 2Checkout, WePay, etc. These payment gateways are integrated into the platforms of business owners to help their customers pay for the goods and services they need. These gateways are good but we definitely need something better, and if it's not existing, it is a work in progress. These payment gateways has some cons, and with the help of the Blockchain technology this challenges will be at minimal level, also some of them will be eliminated. With the Blockchain payment gateway both the business owners and customers will have the following benefits: Proper documentation of records: any record recorded on the blockchain can not be lost or erased, no cheating, and you can easily account for your goods since all the records are available. Security: you are free from hackers to an extent, since transactions are recorded in blocks on the blockchain network, the hackers will definitely be frustrated because hacking into a blockchain server is not a day's work. Elimination of third parties. Transparency: both parties involved are able to see all records because it is open and transparent. Faster Payment. Blockchain payment gateways like BitPay, coinbase, and GoCoin LLC will make you enjoy all the benefits I listed above only if they are integrated into your platform. I don't own the rights to the picture below. Turn on your notification, so that

Owning an online store, reduced expenses for small-scale businesses

One of the challenges of having a physical store is lacking being able to pay for the various utility bills that comes with it. Aside this, you also stand the risk of security threats, fire breakout and all. I’m recent times, one of the challenges of physical stores is fire breakout, either it was engineered or there’s a fault somewhere, irrespective of time or occasion there can be a fire outbreak. Whenever we talk about e-commerce the first thing that comes to mind is owning a website and integrating payment options into it. But with the inception of social media platforms, you could transact and market your goods and services with ease. An argument might rise concerning the statement above-mentioned but the truth remains that buying and selling goods and services online is the definition of e-commerce and you can achieve this through social media. Buying and selling through various social media platforms have created several employment opportunities for people without thinking about the extra cost of owning a physical store or website. They just have to post what they are selling and their viewers will make purchases. In this case, they sample their catalogue on social media and it serves as their online store. It's also important to note that this is for small-scale businesses. Once your business has grown to a certain level you will definitely have an online store because you might not be able to personally handle your customer's requests. As a small-scale business owner, it's important  that you make use of social media platforms to market your business and services.

The effect of phishing links on e-commerce.

One the major challenges of technology is the constant introduction of it's negative sides. Indeed there can't be technology without a negative angle of it. Most people are scared of buying things online because of the popular phrase "what I ordered versus what I got" but it is important to know that this is not phishing because in phishing all your funds are gone. Phishing in e-commerce simply means tricking innocent customers to fall for scams thinking they are purchasing the products and services they need. Many are victims of this, and a lot of people still prefer to go to the physical store instead of making online transactions. If you are in this category, the good news is that you can avoid these links if you take note of the following; 1)If the URL of the website doesn't start with "https", please don't enter any of your sensitive information. 2)Don't be tempted by pop-ups, most times this is how people are deceived. 3)Install firewalls, which prevent external attacks and also act as a shield between your computer and the attacker. 4)Don't ignore updates that your browser gives you, most times this is what you need to be safe. 5)Get free anti-phishing add-ons, this will help you spot malicious websites and notify you of popular phishing websites.

The Cons of Commerce, The Pros of E-Commerce.

In this 21 century, especially in third-world countries, all forms of technology are embraced without hesitation or making proper study to know if it stands to eliminate a level of difficulty that comes with the traditional way of doing things. The purpose of e-commerce is to help solve the challenges encountered in the traditional way of buying and selling, and I will list some of them below. 1)Physical Store: the traditional way of buying and selling requires you to have a physical store whereas e-commerce provides you with the opportunity to have a website where people will view the catalogue of your goods and services. 2)Reduced expenses: having a physical store means you are obliged to house rent, electricity bill, security bill, etc but e-commerce gives you the opportunity to own a website(you are paying for it), then upload all your products and services for your target audience to see. 3)Wide Audience: e-commerce gives you the opportunity to have customers from all around the world, they can purchase what you are selling from the comfort of their homes. This is not possible with the physical store, since only those who are willing to visit your store are your potential customers. 4:Proper Records: you might make mistakes trying to balance the records of transactions from your physical store but your online store has the records of everything being sold and you can always access it anytime, anyway. 5)Store Expansion: as your business is expanding, you will definitely need more space for your physical store, but your online store grows as your business is growing, without you spending extra money for space. The beautiful thing is, e-commerce has come to stay. Move your business online and enjoy endless possibilities.

For buying and selling to take place money is involved, you choose the goods or services you want and then pay for them. The traditional way of buying and selling has some limitations associated with it, this is where e-commerce comes in. Your potential clients get to see what you have, pay for them, and it's delivered.
