Since the introduction of AI systems such as ChatGPT, Mid Journey, Dall-e, and Bard, a lot of individuals have become concerned about how AI would affect their businesses and occupations.
The African AI Foundation and American Spaces have partnered to train 1,000 individuals annually in AI skills to help Africans participate in the ongoing AI revolution. Africa has historically been excluded from major revolutions such as the Industrial Revolution and the Information Technology Revolution. By actively engaging in the AI revolution, Africa aims to increase its GDP and influence the growth of AI by adapting solutions to regional issues. The African AI Foundation will host a free AI Bootcamp followed by hackathons, with online classes and in-person sessions available. The goal is to lower entry barriers and empower individuals to stay relevant in the face of AI disruption.
