Bolt, the Estonian ride-hailing giant, takes decisive action in Kenya, expelling 5,000 drivers in response to safety concerns. This move comes after the National Transport and Safety Authority's directive, signaling Bolt's commitment to stringent safety regulations. 🛑

Bolt has ousted more than 5,000 drivers in Kenya over the past six months, citing non-compliance and safety issues in alignment with directives from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA). The move is part of Bolt's proactive approach to address historical safety concerns, including instances of assaults and unauthorized account transfers. To enhance safety, Bolt is investing $130,000 in measures such as random driver selfie checks, rigorous compliance enforcement, and improved reporting tools. The company aims to rebuild trust and ensure rider and driver well-being during every Bolt ride. 📉🔒
