South African XR EdTech company Nudle, in partnership with Chinese VR Tech education firm KMAX and the Eastern Cape Department of Education, has donated the first extended reality (XR) public school classroom in South Africa to Richard Varha Technical High School. Fitted with state-of-the-art education technology including virtual reality headsets, AR/VR holographic displays and all-in-one PCs paired with artificial intelligence, interactive 3D models and animations, the XR classroom is aimed at providing immersive and engaging learning experiences to students, empowering them with technology to prepare for the future of learning. The classroom was also equipped with satellite internet donated by Morclick to address the challenge of internet connectivity and power in rural South Africa. Nudle plans to donate more classrooms throughout the year and work with Richard Varha High School to integrate XR hardware and software in the South African school curriculum to improve the matric pass rate.
