Nigerian company WATT Renewable Corporation (WATT), an independently-owned provider of hybrid solar solutions, has secured US$13 million in funding to catalyse its efforts in advancing renewable energy solutions and fortify its position as a leading provider of clean energy in Nigeria.

Nigerian company WATT Renewable Corporation (WATT) has secured a substantial $13 million in funding from Empower New Energy to advance its renewable energy solutions and strengthen its position as a leader in clean energy in Nigeria. WATT specializes in delivering hybrid solar solutions with a social impact to various sectors in Africa, such as mobile network operators, financial service providers, and commercial and industrial businesses. This funding will significantly boost WATT's renewable energy portfolio, adding 8MW of installed generating capacity and 14.3MWh of storage capacity, furthering its mission to provide reliable and sustainable energy solutions in the region.
