š South African private equity firm Sanari Capital, led by women and majority Black- and women-owned, has secured ZAR1.25 billion (US$65 million) in the second close of its growth fund.
š The fund targets well-established businesses at inflection points, driven by technology, innovation, thematic growth drivers, and new markets, with investments ranging from ZAR50 million to ZAR250 million. It focuses on themes like technology, IoT, data, and services, and strategically invests in sectors such as education, healthcare, food security, and eco-friendly solutions.
š The Sanari 3S Growth Fund, now at $65 million, aims for a final close of up to $100 million. Notable new investors include the Public Investment Corporation and Alexforbes Investments.
š¼ This capital infusion enhances Sanari's capacity to invest in larger businesses, support founder-run and owner-managed companies, and contribute to job creation and economic growth in Africa.
