Saudi Arabia and Tanzania now have direct traveling access to each other

Saudia Airlines now has direct flights from Jeddah to Tanzania’s capital city of Dar es Salaam. The inaugural flight landed in Dar es Salaam at 6 a.m. on a 180-seater Airbus A320. With the introduction of direct flights, the journey time to Saudi Arabia has been reduced from 10 hours to around 4.40 hours.
Saudia Airlines, Saudi Arabia's national carrier, has launched direct flights from Jeddah to Tanzania's Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, with an Airbus A320 landing there for the first time. It's the first direct service between the two cities and is expected to boost the number of foreign visitors to Tanzania, which saw foreign travellers rise by 55% in 2022 compared to 2021, according to Tanzania's Minister of Works and Transport. Saudia Airlines will operate four flights a week between the two airports. Tanzania is the 14th African country to have direct flights with the airline.
