Zambian Construction E-Commerce Startup Bosso Raises $400K Pre-Seed Funding

Bosso, a groundbreaking Zambian startup, has raised $400,000 in pre-seed funding to advance its e-commerce platform dedicated to the African construction sector. Founded in 2022 by Chisepo Chirwa, Mukopaje Singogo, Ibn Kafwanka, and Salwa Shamapande, Bosso is Zambia's largest online construction material marketplace, serving both B2B and B2C customers.

Bosso’s recent funding was secured from Leonard by Vinci, Launch Africa Ventures, Renew Capital, Change-Com, and various angel investors. This financial boost will help Bosso expand its operations and develop new products to better serve the construction industry.


Chisepo Chirwa, CEO of Bosso, shared, "The housing crisis is real, and Africa needs a Bosso tackling this issue because everyone deserves decent and affordable housing. We want to bring our mission to the entire continent, starting with Southern Africa, as well as launch a new AI building materials assistant to accelerate our solution."
