Africa Data Centres, a division of Cassava Technologies, has secured over $109 million in funding from Rand Merchant Bank to enhance its data center capacity in South Africa by an additional 20MW. This move solidifies ADC's leading position in the African data center market.

“This funding is a significant milestone in the growth of Africa Data Centres,” said Hardy Pemhiwa, President & Group CEO of Cassava Technologies. “It underscores our commitment to growth and our confidence in the future of the South African data centre market.”


In 2021, ADC committed $500 million to launch the largest data center expansion plan in Africa, aiming to build 10 new hyperscale data centers across 10 countries. This new funding marks another step towards achieving this ambitious goal.
