Canal+, backed by Vivendi, has increased its bid for the acquisition of MultiChoice, the prominent African entertainment firm, from $1.7 billion to $2.7 billion. This move follows MultiChoice's initial rejection of the undervalued offer and aligns with South Africa's Takeover Regulations Panel's deadline for a formal bid by April 8th. Canal+ aims to solidify its presence in Africa with this acquisition, as the drama surrounding one of South Africa's major acquisitions unfolds.
