Clafiya raises $610,000 in pre-seed to reimagine healthcare service delivery in Africa ⚕️ 🚀
Clafiya, an African healthtech startup, has announced a pre-seed funding round of $610,000. The oversubscribed round saw participation from various investors, including Norrsken Accelerator, Acquired Wisdom Fund, Hustle Fund, Voltron Capital, and Microtraction, among others. Clafiya aims to use the capital to accelerate its growth, invest in product development, and expand its team. The company, led by CEO Jennie Nwokoye, is addressing the challenge of affordable access to quality primary healthcare in Africa. It started as an on-demand digital platform connecting Nigerians to vetted healthcare providers and has since fine-tuned its strategy to build a digital primary care center that partners with pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare services for an end-to-end healthcare experience. Clafiya is also targeting the diaspora segment by offering healthcare plans for their loved ones in Nigeria and launching a B2B offering for companies to create health savings accounts for employees to access primary healthcare. The startup has partnered with reputable organizations and has shown significant revenue growth and improved patient life expectancy. It aims to transform healthcare delivery and expand its services within Nigeria and beyond.
