Mobility fintech, Moove, has secured $8M in financing from Absa Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), bringing its total funding to-date from the pan-African bank to $28M. This follows Moove’s $20M financing facility from Absa for its South Africa operations announced in June 2022.
Mobility fintech company Moove has secured $8 million in financing from Absa Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), bringing its total funding from the pan-African bank to $28 million. The funding will be used to expand Moove's vehicle fleet in Ghana and support its mission to democratize vehicle ownership and provide employment opportunities in gig economies worldwide. Moove will increase its fleet of brand-new, fuel-efficient Suzuki S-Presso vehicles in Ghana. The company has already delivered over 2.7 million trips and provided health and life insurance coverage to over 3,000 individuals. The partnership with Absa is seen as crucial in driving Moove's growth and empowering mobility entrepreneurs in Ghana.
